Kara is a patient, compassionate and understanding Psychologist with an aim to provide a safe space to enable therapeutic change. She is enthusiastic and dedicated to fostering positive relationships with her clients. Kara is committed to working collaboratively with you, and the type of therapy used in her sessions is always dependent on your presenting issues. Kara welcomes any feedback and encourages client involvement to shape the approach of the therapy and ensure you get what you want from your counselling sessions. You are likely to find Kara unassuming, kind and caring. Kara is comfortable working across all age groups, from children to adults and couples. She is available to support you to deal with a wide range of difficulties and concerns, including depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, relationships and workplace difficulties. Her main therapeutic approaches are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy and Mindfulness. Kara is also a qualified Circle of Security Parenting Program Facilitator. Kara is one of our clinicians who support our psychologists with peer supervision.
