Jemma is a registered psychologist with experience working with adults, adolescents, and children. She has had clinical experience working with a wide range of presenting concerns, including mood and anxiety symptoms, interpersonal difficulties, identity and/or adjustment stress, grief and loss, substance misuse and trauma. Jemma has a keen interest in the wellbeing of elite sports men and women of all ages, from grass roots level through to the professional, and particularly the transition period out of sport. Jemma works hard to create a warm, safe, and non-judgemental space for clients to explore their unique challenges and struggles. She utilises a person-centered approach to support clients’ wellbeing and facilitate growth. She draws upon a variety of approaches, including CBT, ACT, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Schema Therapy approaches to assist clients’ to identify and draw on their own strengths to progress towards their goals. Jemma is one of our clinicians who support our psychologists with peer supervision.

 

Jemma is an APS Board Approved Supervisor.
