Alexis is a provisional psychologist completing her final placement in the Master of Psychology (Professional) program at Curtin University. She understands the importance of everyone’s story and how that impacts their current self. With a passion for supporting individuals on their own journeys and providing a safe space for them, Alexis wants to connect and understand each person that she meets, letting their story be shared in a way that makes the most sense to them.

While Alexis supports clients presenting with a wide range of difficulties, she has a particular interest in identity. This includes neurodiversity, mood, life transitions, emotional wellbeing and life adjustments. She wants to work with her clients in embracing and understanding who they are as individuals and supporting them as they share and explore this with her. She also acknowledges that everybody’s own experiences have a different impact on them, so she works collaboratively with each client to help implement strategies to reorient individuals to their own goals and support their challenges.

Alexis works primarily in CBT to best support her clients, but she is also capable and willing to work in ACT. Alexis prioritises her clients, so she is comfortable taking the approach that best suits them.
