Amy is a warm, friendly and approachable psychologist who is dedicated to fostering a safe and non-judgemental space for her clients. Amy’s therapeutic approach is client-centred and strengths-based and she works with children, adolescents and adults. Amy has worked within government-funded mental health programs, the disability sector and not-for-profit organisations which has allowed her to gain experience across a wide range of presenting concerns including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, adjustment to life changes, interpersonal difficulties, family concerns, grief and loss, substance misuse and trauma. Amy also has experience working with ADHD and this is an area of interest for her. Amy utilises a wide range of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and tailors her interventions to meet the individual needs of the client. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
